Paula Poundstone is a stand-up comedian from Boston, MA via Huntsville, AL whose peculiar brand of observational comedy earned her the American Comedy Award for "Best Female Stand-Up Comic" in 1989. Poundstone's career continued in full-force during the 1990s, a period which saw the comic hosting her own show on HBO as well as becoming a regular correspondent for The Tonight Show and The Rosie O'Donnell Show.
