Ladell Mclin

About

Born into a family of prominent musicians--his mother songstress Marsha McLin, his father jazz drummer Lamont Braswell and his brother blues drummer Andre Cotton--Ladell Mclin seemed destined to be a musician from the get-go. While he initially assumed he would be a drummer, he found an old guitar in his aunt's basement as a teenager and soon became enamored with it, teaching himself to play along with the records of blues greats. After playing the blues guitar in the house band at Buddy Guy's Legends in Chicago, which is considered to be one of the foremost spots to hear the blues and often features performances by Buddy Guy himself, Mclin moved to New York and began developing a solo career. Dubbed one of the most talented up-and-coming blues musicians by many publications, Mclin has slowly built a name for himself and is sure to continue to gain more prominence with time.
