Pasadena, California-based Brendan James combines the singer/songwriter styles of folk music with his own brand of pop and rock. Graduating from private school in New Hampshire, and then the University of North Carolina, James captures a prep-school collegiate aesthetic that no doubt has its particular market. Since landing on the scene in 2007, James' music has been featured on the television shows Private Practice and Bones, garnering him a wider audience.
