Legendary drummer Lenny White is known in a multitude of roles that shaped jazz history, as well as modern R&B and early hip-hop. Tapped by Miles Davis in 1969, White was chosen as Davis' studio drummer for his inimitable recording Bitches Brew. White went on to work such legends as Herbie Hancock, Red Hubbard and Ron Carter. White continued to push the boundaries of jazz, contributing largely to the genre of jazz fusion, alongside such greats as Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke and Al Di Meola. White has also worked as a producer, composer and studio musician.
