New York City-based indie rock outfit Clap Your Hands Say Yeah formed in 2004 its members initially met at Connecticut College. the five-piece slowly began building an underground fan base, but received a fair amount of mainstream attention for its single "Satan Said Dance," which appeared in multiple movie and television trailers. While the group's momentum slowed a bit as the decade progressed and Ounsworth focused on side bands and a solo project, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah still maintains a devoted fan base and tours occasionally.
