Based out of Rochester, New York, the reggae band Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad has been putting out its characteristic style of music since the release of its first LP, Slow Down, in 2006. While the songs that the band creates aren't necessarily reggae tunes in the same vein as material that was created by the genre's forefathers in the 1970s, Giant Panda's modern take on the genre has helped introduce a new generation of fans to the dub-friendly style of music that originated in the West Indies. The Squad is known to tour quite frequently and an opportunity to witness the group perform and play tunes from its song catalog is not to be missed.
