Fusing elements of rumba, reggae, Mediterranean folk and Latin rock, El Cremats creates a cross-cultural musical hybrid that maintains a lively, joyful tone throughout. Choppily strummed acoustic guitars set the table for layer upon layer of Latin percussion, horns, congas and vocals courtesy of several of the group's six members. The resulting songs capture the breezy, laid-back vibes of their surroundings, all the while perpetuating a distinct pop feel that will not only appeal to world music listeners, but also to fans of creatively-arranged music in general.
