Güler Duman, born on June 25, 1967, in Erzurum, is a prominent Turkish folk singer, songwriter, and composer. She began her music career early, releasing her debut album Dost Garip in 1980, which sold millions of copies. Duman studied at Istanbul Technical University's Turkish Music State Conservatory, further refining her skills. Over the years, she has become a leading figure in Turkish folk music, with notable albums like O Leyli Leyli (1982), Bu Devran (1995), and Yüreğimden Yüreğinize (2012). Duman has taught over 11,000 students and continues to perform globally. Despite personal challenges, including the loss of her mother, her influence in folk music remains significant. Her discography spans more than three decades, earning her a lasting legacy in the Turkish music scene.
