Zakkum

Zakkum, a Turkish rock band, was formed in 1999 in Ankara under the name Raindog, before later adopting their current name. The group, composed of Cem Senyücel, Yusuf Demirkol, Eren Parlakgümüş, and later Emre Yılmaztürk, began by performing covers of artists like Placebo, Radiohead, and The Smashing Pumpkins. Over time, they shifted towards creating their own music. Their debut album Zehr-i Zakkum was released in 2007, marking their transition to a fully original repertoire. The band gained further recognition with albums like 13 (2011), Ben Böyle Değildim (2012), and Bir Gece Yarası (2016). Known for blending melancholic themes with alternative rock influences, Zakkum has released several albums and singles, including popular tracks like "Hatıran Yeter" and "Ben Ne Yangınlar Gördüm." Their music remains a staple in the Turkish rock scene.
