New Jersey band Father Divine is anything but religiously affiliated. In fact, the band's ideology (yes, it has one) seems to be as egalitarian as any band touting esoteric words on its website. Keywords include, "progressive," "intellect" and "fusion." The band is nominally a prog-rock band, although it is clear that its members draw on elements of West African high-life and jazz. Now, if Father Divine could only get out of New Jersey...
