About
After rising to stardom in the 1980s with notable roles in films like Wall Street and Platoon, American actor Charlie Sheen was exposed to a world few normal folk can imagine. A somewhat seedy world that revolved around illegal drugs, rampant amounts of alcohol and well-stocked bank accounts, amongst other things. Though Sheen would go on to star in a myriad of other, less well received films, he always managed to retain some semblance of Hollywood movie star curb-appeal and in 2003 he achieved massive mainstream commercial appeal, again, when he started work on the television program Two and a Half Men. The show was a hit and audiences thought Sheen's brand of family friendly raunchy comedy was simply hilarious. He was even the highest paid television actor for a period of time. Although, with a penchant for hard partying and hard living, Sheen managed to get himself kicked of the popular TV show in 2011. But with a large amount of media buzz surrounding his departure from the program, Sheen managed to build a widely recognizable public persona for himself that many people found, and still do find, funny and fairly intriguing. It was announced shortly after being let go from Two and a Half Men that Sheen would go on a cross country tour of America, that would feature the film and television star manically lecturing audiences and regaling them with comedic tales about his life in Hollywood.
