German pop singer Chris Doerk is something of a German institution for pop music. Starting out in the late 1960s, Doerk made a name for herself playing with renowned musician Frank Shobel, going on to win the Eurovision Song Contest. In addition to her major role as a pop singer, Doerk has also made a name for herself as a painter and photographer, focusing primarily on painting since the 1990s. That said, Doerk still manages to find time to tour through out Europe, playing sold out tribute shows and reminding her fans of what solidified her place in the German pop canon in the first place.
