British teen phenom Cher Lloyd got her start on the UK equivalent of the television show American Idol, The X Factor. Although Lloyd didn't end up winning in the competition, she was quickly signed by a major record label and debuted her first album in 2011. Lloyd's renditions of hip-hop favorites like Jay Z's "Hard Knock Life" and Soulja Boy's "Turn My Swag On" garnered Lloyd her biggest responses, with many of the artists themselves announcing their support for the young singer.
