Iyla, is mainly an R&B and soul artist who has lent her voice for many electronic songs. She started her music career as one of the members of the R&B band, Fine Chynah, which disbanded after a span of just two years. After which began her long stint with electronic music during which she collaborated with many talented artists. But eventually, the determination to start her own solo career reached a new high and the result was War + Raindrops, her first debut album which she released in 2018. The albums showcased her style of composition which is a clean combination of soul with R&B, added with small touches of jazz. The songs "Juice" and "Shampoo" from the five-track album became immensely popular and provided a great start to Iyla's solo career.
