The Dan Rufolo Trio is a jazz group from New York that is being celebrated by many as being one of jazz's best kept secrets. The trio is comprised of Dan Rufolo on piano, Bill Thoman on bass and Arthur Vint, who effectively completed the line-up in 2009, on drums. The Dan Rufolo Trio's debut album Novelty is a particularly adroit representation of the instrumentalists' skills, as well as their abilities to compose a special brand of jazz music that highlights odd rhythms, striking harmonies and an infectious spirit of free improvisation that has jazz music connoisseurs raving.
