Ees creates music that sounds like a melting pot of several different styles of world music thrown together with a heavy dose of electronic and club influences. The brainchild of Eric Sell, a world-traveling musician who seems intent on never staying in one spot, the group's sound manages to stay lively and modern, despite its wealth of traditional cultural elements. Ees' music incorporates pieces of all the various parts of the world Sell has lived--Afro-pop, British house music, reggaeton, Caribbean rhythms, American hip-hop and more--into bouncy jams well-fit for regular dance club plays.
