While attending James Madison University in Virginia, Eddie Cain Irvin progressed his solo music career far enough to manage to open locally for bigger pop rock names such as Guster and Copeland. Irvin's music is characterized by straight-forward pop and singer/songwriter material that relies heavily on his piano playing. The songs that comprise his 2010 album, Eight Minutes Before Dawn Breaks are full of sunny melodies and light, catchy pop that would sound right at home on modern radio playlists.
