Alpin Hong

Alpin Hong is a Los Angeles-based classical musician who has made a living out of getting listeners of all ages to appreciate the genre's storied past and relevance to modern music. Hong trained at the prestigious Juilliard Academy for the Performing Arts, where his skills on piano were refined and polished into what they are today. His long hair, relatively young age and chameleon-like ability to morph into any classical or modernistic approach to the genre have made him a vivacious figure that would seem to have more in common with a rock or pop star than a traditional classical musician. When not performing, Hong is dedicated to passing his knowledge down to younger performers, often teaching classes at local high schools.
