Anxo Lorenzo is a Celtic fusion musician from Galicia, Spain who is known for his successful attempts at bringing the little known gaita, or traditional Galician bagpipe, into the growing consciousness of world music. Knowing that performances on the gaita in its traditional form would probably not fare well for the instrument's popularity outside of Galicia, Anxo Lorenzo has managed to deftly fuse the instrument's natural sound into various popular genres such as rock, pop, hip-hop, etc. Having performed with a long list of renowned world and popular musicians, on top of being viewed as a well-respected classically-trained musician in his own right, Anxo Lorenzo continues to tour his unique instrument and brand of music, as well as giving master classes on music throughout the world.
