After listening to a few tracks by Francis Mbappe, it's easy to guess that the talented musician is originally from Africa. He started in musical journey as a touring member of a well known African band in 1982, a post he held for the next eight years. In the early 90s, Mbappe moved to New York City where he began making his own characteristic style of funk and Afro-beat inspired rock music. With adept instrumental skill and a penchant for carrying his songs into impressive and extended jams, Mbappe is widely considered to be one of the best and more engaging African musicians on the scene today to be touring behind his own original compositions.
