Pongsit "Pu" Kampee, born on May 2, 1967, in Nongkhai, Thailand, is a renowned Thai rock singer and producer in the Phleng Pheua Chiwit (Songs for Life) genre. Inspired by iconic artists like Nga Caravan and Lek Carabao, Pu began his musical journey after moving to Bangkok with dreams of becoming a musician. His breakthrough came with his 1990 album Sua Tua Thee 11, which solidified his place in Thailand's music scene. Known for his emotional lyrics and distinctive vocal style, Pu's music resonates with themes of love, life, and social issues. Despite a shift in the Thai music landscape, Pu continues to record and perform. He celebrated 25 years in the industry with the album 25 Pi Me Wang in 2012. His personal life remains mostly private, though his commitment to music and social causes defines much of his public persona.
