Houston, Texas-born hip-hop artist Mookie Jones entered his first rap competition at just 15 years of age. A serendipitous experience of seeing 1980s hip-hop legend Big Daddy Kane rap live in a studio had an instant effect on Jones, and he hasn't looked back since. He became the youngest MC to win the annual Prospect rap competition hosted by Scion and has continued to establish himself with regular underground mix-tape and DVD releases. Jones' lively, uptempo flow has won over fans of Southern hip-hop all over Texas.
