Though many accompanying players come and go whilst helping with recording and touring, The Diamond Center is essentially the work of just two musicians, Brandi Price and Kyle Harris. Combining dark, gothic-toned psych rock with Price's haunting and reverb-soaked vocals, the band has enjoyed some moderate success in and around its hometown of Richmond, Virginia. The jangly pop of the Velvet Underground and swirling neo-psychedelia of revivalists such as the Brian Jonestown Massacre influence The Diamond Center's music in a way and has helped it win over fans of shimmering, sometimes meandering rock and roll.
