Houston band The Hot Things consider themselves to be a "sleaze rock" band, an admission that they like to get rowdy, both on stage and off. Drawing on the best of the rock gods in metal and punk, The Hot Things is a synthesis of these heavy sounds, wrapped up in a unique package that includes a front woman who isn't afraid to re-claim the masculine energy that so often dominates the aforementioned genres. The group's self-titled debut album came out in 2009.
