Chicago band The Autumn Defense is the work of Wilco band members John Stirratt and Patrick Sansone. When the two aren't working on Wilco projects, they are writing music together as The Autumn Defense, a project the two began in 2000 with their debut album, The Green Hour. The band claims that it's interested in writing timeless pop records, paying little attention to the state of the music industry--an honorable intention that could prove successful for the band.
