Based out of Washington D.C., Nouveau Riche is a DJ collective known for its monthly party at U Street Music Hall. Infusing Baltimore club music with techno beats, funky house and world-inspired flavors, the trio calls its brand of music "post-genre," taking the claim of defying genres to a whole new level by giving it a separate (and inherently contradictory) genre-title itself. However, the three DJs do meld together a wide variety of musical styles that wouldn't normally be found together in the same set, let alone the same song, so the post-genre categorization is understandable.
