Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center

The Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center is a visitor center of the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary in Alpena. The visitor center is also a spectacular museum. The hotel narrates the rich and fascinating history of Great Lakes and its many shipwrecks through immersive exhibits. The museum is home to a life-size replica of a schooner, along with other models of ships and boats. The Hotel is located on the lakefront, and is a short walk from the beach.
